Our Farm
Mike and I are glad you have
dropped by for a visit.
Sit back, relax and let us tell you a little about our family
farm.

Homesteaded in 1867 by Knut
Angrimson the farm was the first homestead in Big Bend Township
located in Chippewa County. Grandpa Oscar moved to the farm in
1933 and later purchased it in 1942. Relying on various small
grains and corn he incorporated livestock into his livelihood.
Oscar and his wife, Alice, raised a family of three children,
passing the farm along to his son Dave and wife Diane, the
tradition continued of livestock and crop farming.
Mike & I have become the third generation of his family to
farm this land continuing the tradition of livestock which has
included milk cows, beef cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, horses,
goats, and now, even a llama named "Clyde". Organically
managing 364 acres we raise corn, oats, alfalfa and soybeans.
Plans next year include adding organic wheat, flax, and various
edible beans. Assisting the family on the farm is "Blu"
our Australian Cattle dog (aka: Blue Heeler) and a Great Pyrenees
"Bailie". The dogs aid us in moving and guarding our
sheep and chickens. Our dependable quarterhorse
"Shanda" helps us manage our cattle. Instilling in our
three children the values of farm life, we hope to continue the
family farm traditions.
